The fight against black money and corruption is now going full throttle across the country. The government of India has laid down the first of its kind emergency, asking people to stop using old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. While the entire India is celebrating PM Modi’s massive counter attack against black money hoarders and terrorists, one man will go down the history as the true unsung hero.
The hero is none other than honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N Chandrababu Naidu. It was Naidu’s idea to curb usage of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to fight black money problems. This was clearly indicated in his letter to the Prime Minister in October, where the CM had appealed to Mr Modi to bring into effect zero tendering of these notes. The CM had explained in the letter that was one sure shot way to put a lid on black money that is in cash and in circulation. Banning these currency notes in particular will pull the skeletons out of their graves.
Today, the very same approach has been applied by the Center and RBI. The citizens of India will now get to see path breaking results and outcomes in the fight against corruption.
