AP Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu’s prestigious vision of real time governance has been on the cards for quite some time now. In fact, the team for State Command and Control Center which was formed for the purpose and was later renamed as State Command and Communication Center has also been in place. Finally, the groundbreaking ceremony for establishing this body as a fully fledged department was conducted at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat on 20th June. The pooja for the ceremony was performed by the revered CM himself.
With the establishment of this center, the implementation of real time governance in Andhra Pradesh can finally begin. According to CBN, the advent of technology is what is helping in making his vision of real time governance a reality. The State Command and Communication center which is presently operating solely as an E-government center will soon start offering various other services as it would house a number of departments like Police, Tourism, Revenue, APPCB etc.
He added that integrating all the services and monitoring these on a real time basis will make it easier for the government to quickly address various issues. He said that real time governance is sure to bring a lot of benefits to the society and would result in a major transformation of the state.
