Yes, bagging yet another first in the list of many, Andhra Pradesh is now the 1st state in India to declare Universal Healthcare for all its citizens.
Aarogya Raksha, the Universal Healthcare Program has now 2 lakh coverage at Rs 100 per month for non below poverty line and free for below poverty line. More than 1 Lakh people have registered and 16000 jobs created through various PPP programs.
“Andhra Pradesh in the coming years will become a hub of knowledge academies, health research, PPP, medical tourism, production of drugs and medical devices. It will be the “Healthcare Hub of the emerging economy”, said CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu.
