Hon’ble CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled his plans of development of the Sunrise State of India at the recently held CII Partnership Summit 2017. He aims to make Andhra Pradesh the best state in the country by 2029 and the best destination in the world by 2050.
The Chief Minister made it a point to speak extensively about the benchmarks Andhra Pradesh, the state now setting new benchmarks in the country with development and growth.

United Nations – Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030
The CM has adopted the UN policy for Sustainable Development Goals. These 17 goals cover for all the areas of welfare and development, focusing on the main achievable in the years to come.
Samaja Vikasam – A Step Towards Welfare of the Society
It is well known that creating ‘happiness index’ is the main goal of the CM. Here, in the form of Samaja Vikasam, the CM aims at creating a happy society in AP, devoid of modern day stress and endowed with rich cultural heritage. The main areas that are under focus comprise of agriculture and allied development, IT, Industrial Development, Citizen Services, Service Sector Development, Inclusive development, quality education for all, roads and infrastructure, healthy security and 24X7 power supply.
River Interlinking Projects
After successfully interlinking two major rivers in the state, the CM wants to look at river interlinking as the main solution to address water scarce regions in the state. The first interlinking between river Krishna and Godavari has provided relief to 1.2 million acres across Krishna and Guntur districts. This linking will address drinking water needs of Vijayawada and the new capital Amaravati. This will also reduce impact of floods along Godavari.
Developing streamlined road connectivity and highways that well connect the state with the neighboring states like Chennai and Bengaluru for increased trade activities. Greenfield expressway is on the cards, that will change the way people operate and connect within the state.
Enticing Inland Waterways
CM wants to make a better inland waterway connectivity become a reality.
Extensive Ports and Fully Loaded Airports
CM’s plan – creating new ports and airports that will make the state ‘the gateway to the East”
Industrial Growth Corridors
Perhaps one of the biggest projects being worked on, CM wants to drive growth into the state through robust and functional industrial corridors
Mission Amaravati – The Well Planned GreenField City
Amaravati is set to pick momentum. With the unveiling of the new secretariat at Velagapudi, the new capital city is slowly taking shape. Amaravati will be the first of its kind greenfield smart city in the country.
Development of Smart Cities
Walking along the lines of nation wide smart city initiative, Amaravati, Vizag, Tirupati and Kakinada will be concentrated on to make the smart city concept happen
Technology and IoT – Real time governance
First of its kind broadband connectivity planned at 15 Mbps to all households and demand based supply to all institutions. The CM has taken real time governance to a whole new level with Command Control Center, Digital Classrooms, AP Surveys and the like.
